BHIM:
This app supports all Indian banks that use UPI. This app is built on the lines of instant payment service i.e. IMPS. This app provides the facility of instant money transfer to a bank account. It can be used in every mobile device. BHIM app allows users to transfer money between UPI payment address or non-UPI payment accounts.
DigiLocker:
DigiLocker was launched under the Digital India initiative. It was introduced by the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY), Government of India. Through this app a person can save all their certificates in digital format here. These include driving license, vehicle registration, mark sheet etc.
DigiLocker provides an account in the cloud to every account holder so that documents can be verified. 1 GB of storage is provided in each account. To use DigiLocker, users must have an Aadhaar number. Aadhaar number and one-time password sent to the Aadhaar-registered mobile number will have to be entered to sign-up.
IRCTC:
IRCTC, the official app of Indian Railways is extremely popular among the people. Where earlier, long lines had to be used to get tickets. At the same time, this problem is over with this app. Through the IRCTC app, a person can book a confirmed ticket right from home. From here you can easily book both Tatkal and General tickets.
MONEY:
It would not be wrong to call UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-Age Governance) as one in all apps. It has been created by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the National e-Governance Division (NeGD). Many other services like Aadhar Card, Ayushman Bharat, Atal Pension Yojana, Gas, CISF, Cybercrime, Delhi Police, Digilocker, EPFO, e-Rahi, Indian Oil are provided.
112: Women Safety
This app has been launched mainly for women safety. Under the Nirbhaya initiative, the project is a joint effort of the Ministry of Women and Child Development and the Ministry of Home Affairs. Anyone can download this app. Emergency calls can be made through this app by pressing only one button or by pressing the power button three times. Through this, police will reach the victim without any voice call. This app has a feature called Shout.
